PUR - A Conversation with Carlos Arroyo

Carlos Arroyo joined Galatasaray Liv Hospital in 2013 following a championship run with Be?ikta? in 2011–2012. The NBA veteran has also played for the Utah Jazz, Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, Miami Heat and Boston Celtics. In addition to his professional accolades, Arroyo has long been a stalwart of the Puerto Rican national team, which this past summer he helped qualify for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup with a silver medal at the FIBA Americas Championship.

After beating the likes of Argentina, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, the squad coached by Sergio Valdeolmillos surprised many in claiming their first gold medal at the FIBA Americas Championship in Venezuela to qualify for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup, having failed to feature in FIBA's flagship event since 1974.
